HISTORIC KAILUA VILLAGE CULTURAL WALK

Thursday - 8:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m.
Led by noted historian Hannah Springer. This is a free event. Meet on the beach at Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel.

QUEEN LILIU'OKALANI CULTURAL FAIR

Thursday - 10:00 a.m. through  1:00 p.m.
Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel - makai lawn artists and cultural practioners lead demonstrations and provide hands-on learning opportunities for a wide variety of traditional Hawaiian crafts.

INTERNATIONAL PADDLERS' RECEPTION

Thursday- 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. 
Paddlers from around the world are invited to attend this evening function. King Kamehameha Hotel Luau Grounds

COACHES' / STEERSPERSONS' MEETING

Friday at 5 p.m.
A coaches' AND steerspersons' briefing will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, King Kamehameha Hotel Luau Grounds

ARTS & CRAFTS AND FOOD BOOTHS

Saturday and Sunday there will be local vendors featuring arts & crafts from local artisans located in the cul de sac next to the pier entrance. There will also be a food booth on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

BLESSING AT OPENING OF RACES

Saturday at 6:00 a.m.
Blessing to be held on the beach fronting the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel. All participants are encouraged to be there for this special Hawaiian ceremony. 

TORCH LIGHT PARADE

Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Participants meet at Hale Halawai County Pavilion. Starting at 7:00 p.m. the parade winds its way down Alii Drive to the Kailua Pier.

AWARDS

Saturday Awards Presentation - Luau Grounds - 3:30 P.M.
The presentation of awards for Saturday's races will take place at the Luau Grounds, makai of Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel after the finish of the Kane Race.

Sunday Awards Presentation & Luau at Makaeo Events Pavilion - 2:00 P.M.
The presentation of awards for Sunday's races will take place during the luau at the Makaeo Events Pavilion (Old Airport). Wrist bands will be provided to all participants and officials at the time of registration and will be required for admission to the luau. Additional luau tickets for relatives and friends will be available for purchase at the Race Registration desk and at the door.

MONDAY KUPUNA CLASSIC AWARD PRESENTATIONS - 
8:30 am race start, 50+ and 55+  60+, 65+, 70+, Kailua Bay
The presentation of awards and lite snacks for the Kupuna Classic will take place under the green tent on the Kailua Pier. Wrist bands will be provided to all participants.

BE A PART OF THE KAI 'OPUA TEAM!

Monday at 6:30 a.m. until finished
Join us Monday morning to help load canoes that return to their outer island homes. Come to the Kailua Pier, we'll be starting as early as 6:30 a.m. Coffee and donuts will  be available for our team of canoe lifters!
