We would like to extend our gratitude for your participation in our event. We appreciate your support and look forward to another exciting year of racing.

WHATS NEW
We regret to announce that the Royal Splashfest will not be taking place this year. However, on Friday August 30, we will be holding the Hoo Kuku Lanalana - A Rigging Clinic and Challenge in its place.

HOO KUKU LANALANA: NEW EVENT!
Lashing awa correctly is critical to its seaworthiness. The patterns of Hawaiian waa lashing can be highly functional as well as aesthetically beautiful. Come toour hands-on clinic, and see if your lashing crew of four can wield the aho(rigging line) into a seaworthy pattern. Awards given to the crews thatcomplete a lashing that is strong, beautiful and quickly achieved.

  • Friday, August 30
  • Kailua Pier, under the green tent
  • 12:00 Noon  - Registration  |  12:30 pm  - Rigging Clinic followed by Challenge
  • $20 Entry fee for team of 4

NO IN-PERSON SATURDAY REGISTRATION
The registration room will be open the following times this year. Please note, we will no longer be allowing walk-in registrations on Saturday. The last day to register in person is Friday. We will only be accepting online registrations for the Sunday and Monday races up until 5pm on Saturday . Please remember that all crews must check-in to receive their racepackets and be able to race. It is best to send in just one person with all waivers and copies of IDs (if required). Our registration room will be located in the lower lobby of the King Kamehameha Hotel next to the Kamakahonu Beach.

  • Thursday:1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Friday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm, dont wait until the last minute gang!
  • NEW: Saturday  - the registration room will be closed.


FRIDAY - TALK STORY
 NEW LOCATION!
This year we get to talk story with world-renowned coach, canoe builder and paddler Johnny Puakea. Scheduled for 4pm at the Hulihee Palace.

REMINDER - PLEASE DONT BE LATE
In order to have the races run as smoothly as possible, we ask that all registrations be made online before Thursday, August 29. LATE FEES WILL BE ASSESSED FOR ALL RACES (other than OC1, V1, OC2 and SUP) IF YOU WAIT AND ENTER IN PERSON AFTER WEDNESDAY. Please dont wait to register and pay for your crews at registration check-in. You will accrue late fees for non-individual races and experience a delay as we have limited computers to utilize for new entries.

DOUBLEHULL:
Finally, we ask that people who have signed up for the double hull events on Sunday, and who are not using their own canoes, check in with Cheryl Villegas at some point before Friday, Aug 30.
